Panagiotis Artelaris is a lecturer at the Department of Geography (Harokopio University) and Research Associate at the Department of Planning and Regional Development (University of Thessaly). Artelaris holds a Bachelor in Economic and Regional Development (Panteion University, 1999), a Master in Economic and Regional Development (Panteion University, 2002) and a PhD (funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundations) in Planning and Regional Development (Department of Planning and Regional Development, University of Thessaly, 2009). His research interests are in the areas of Spatial Economics, Economic Growth and Decline, Spatial Inequalities, and Spatial Econometrics and Statistics. He has been involved in a few research projects (FP6, FP7 INTERREG, ESPON) and has published several papers in international academic journals including, among others, International Regional Science Review, GeoJournal, Local Economy, Region et Developpement, Journal of Economic Studies, Growth and Change, Eastern Journal of European Studies and Italian Journal of Regional Studies.

During August 2019, he was secondeed to Biotechvana SA in Valencia, Spain, where he was implicated in cleaning and processing M4H datasets, writing codes in R and interpreting results.
