Katerina has studied Biochemistry at Paris VI (Jussieu) University of Paris and obtained her Master degree in Biochemistry at the same University. She obtained also her PhD diploma in Biochemistry and Immunology at the School of Medicine in Kapodistriako University of Athens. At 2016 she obtained a second Master degree in Nutrition and Exercise at Harokopio University, Athens. She is working since 2000 as tutor and researcher at the Department of Dietetics and Nutritional Sciences at Harokopio University. She is involved in several research projects related to nutrition and metabolism as well metabolism and exercise.

From Sep 2017 to Nov 2017 Katerina is secondeed to Randox Laboratories Ltd, Crumlin, Country Antrim in UK, where she has been trained in the use of Investigator analyser and the relevant software and in Biochip Array Technology, that provides rapid, accurate and reproducible quantitative measures of proteins in biological samples. She was also trained in assessment of antibody fragments for the development of clinical immunoassay into Evidence Investigator Analyser which utilizes Biochip Array Technology and gained experience in the optimization of immunoassay standard curve shapes and assay sensitivity. She used Biochip Array Technology for the analysis of MAST4HEALTH samples.
